A week to go

This time next week I'll be in Cornwall and beginning rehearsals for The Midnight Drives... This will be the beginning of something we have all waited a long time to see realised. It looks as though we're all going to be 'in residence' for much of the shoot which is good, firstly for logistical reasons and secondly because it means I can live and breathe 'Andy' (my character) for two weeks. In the meantime I've been growing my hair back, only for it to be cut off again at the end of this week. I'm also undergoing a contact lens trial as Andy probably won't wear glasses. This has meant for the first time in twenty five years that my reflection in a mirror with my glasses off is in focus! I await with trepidation my subsequent head shave� I've also seen 'my children' this week (as they've now been cast) and if they are half as good in real life as they look in a photo then it's going to be great. Finally, as I was working on another film last week, I've been reminded just how COLD it can be standing around on a film set so I'm going to get some thermal underwear. Oh the glamour!
